Teenagers Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo were the heroes for Manchester United as they secured a 2-0 victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Garnacho opened the scoring in the first half with a superb solo effort, before Mainoo doubled the lead just before the break. City never really got going in the match and were unable to find a way back into the game. United goalkeeper David de Gea made a number of fine saves to keep City at bay. The victory is a major boost for United, who have endured a difficult season in the Premier League. It is also a welcome tonic for manager Erik ten Hag, who has been under pressure in recent months. For City, it is a disappointing end to the season, but they can take solace in the fact that they have already won the Premier League and Carabao Cup.
